AUSTIN, Texas — Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has been the target of a months-long investigation into his alleged misconduct in which ethics investigators said he’s abused his power for years. And now Paxton might have been the target of an arsonist.
The Texas Attorney General’s Office is asking for help in identifying the person responsible for the dumpster fire outside of Paxton’s office.
A video posted online Wednesday to the official Texas attorney general Twitter account depicts a person of interest near the scene of the alleged arson. The individual is seen wearing a white shirt and some type of head covering, but during their time on-screen, the fire is not lit. A second video shows the loading bin where the fire can be seen burning inside, and two people who look as though they work at the building appear on camera collecting the trash cans nearby.
You’re asked to contact the Austin Fire Department if you know of anything in relation to the suspected arson fire.
