“We received so much demand that it was a natural next step,” said Shake Shack Culinary Director Mark Rosati told the Orange County Register. “We really admired Orange County’s rich and diverse food scene. Collaboration is a core aspect of our brand and we are really excited to get to know everyone.”
The East Coast-based burger chain is famous for its modest beginnings as a hotdog stand on the streets of New York and well-loved for its gourmet burgers, crinkle fries, milkshakes and more.
The Irvine location will feature the exclusive OC Dreamsicle shake, the OC Register reported, which is a vanilla custard and orange soda shake.
According to reports, 5 percent of sales from every OC Dreamsicle purchased will be donated to the California Department of Parks and Recreation.
Orange County’s first Shake Shake is located at 512 Spectrum Center Drive, next to the Regal Edwards Theater. The fast-casual eatery opens at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 26.
