A popular Mexican restaurant in New Orleans has been damaged again.Felipes in Mid-City shared surveillance video showing an attempted early morning break-in.This comes after the store was hit by burglars on National Taco Day. The restaurant issued the following statement regarding the incident: “We have been in New Orleans for 16 years now, as a locally owned and operated family business and love this place, but in the last year we have been burglarized, our building has been shot at, and now an attempted burglary at all 3 of our restaurants. Not to mention, as speak, we are also building a 4th restaurant in Metairie. All that to say, this is getting exhausting and defeating… When will we reach a tipping point as a community to take back the place we invest heavily in and care deeply about?”The owners of Felipes said all locations are open for business and ask for the public’s support.
