Despite a misleading date (January 20) when we did the rounds initially, we were later to learn that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was actually set to premiere on Disney+ on February 1st, and Marvel Studios has now made it official with a new TV spot and key art.
The promo highlights several key moments from Ryan Coogler’s sequel, including the powerful scene of Shuri revealing herself as Wakanda’s new protector as M’Baku proudly declares, “the black panther lives.”
The poster, meanwhile, is just an updated version of a previous single sheet, but this time Shuri is wearing the Panther costume.

The critically acclaimed MCU sequel is still in theaters, and recently passed $800 million at the global box office. While this is a very respectable move – especially in post-Covid times – barring a re-release, the film is highly unlikely to join its predecessor in the $1 billion club.

Even though, Wakanda forever has broken another record. With a domestic total of $429+ million, the film has passed the likes of Captain Marvel and the first Dream lady becoming the highest-grossing female-led superhero film in US box office history.
